April 2018 would have seen Sir Terry Pratchett's 70th birthday. He had a well-known connection with the theatre, and so to celebrate, why not put on a play? Local theatre companies around the world can use this month to stage any Discworld play, in a great big celebration and commemoration of Sir Terry's life and work.

I discussed the idea with Colin Smythe at the DW Convention 2016, and he said it was a good one, go for it. So here we are, going for it. Let everybody know, and book the performance slot at the next planning meeting at your local theatre group!

A quick guide to the issues and arguments concerning the UK EU Membership Referendum on the 23rd of June 2016.

This video presents a variety of arguments used by both sides, and the counter-arguments. It is designed so you can get a balanced review of the issues, without resorting to the appeal-to-fear or appeal-to-stupidity propaganda of the official campaigns.

Please watch and use the information to vote wisely on the 23rd.

Go to, buy four print copies of my books, and the cheapest will be free. Just use coupon code TRGE15

EBooks also available, but there's no discount on them (they're much cheaper anyway).

My computer is being slow and the weather is so nice I'm feeling unjustifiably lazy. Still, eBooks were promised, and eBooks you shall get:
Books VII and VIII of Have Sword & Sorcery: Will Travel™ are now available as eBooks at Lulu, Apple iBookstore, Barnes & Noble NOOK, Amazon Kindle, Kobo, and maybe some others.
Well, in theory they are anyway, I don't know how long it'll take them to actually appear on the sites, but they are OFFICIALLY available. The rest of the series will follow suit tomorrow (probably in reverse order).
Remember - you can only get the Trilogies and their exclusive short stories in dead-tree format!

Well, that took longer than expected. Nevertheless, Book VIII is now available to buy from

The main reason it took so long is that Lulu have changed their formats, and so, like a book series that changes the cover style whenever it's reprinted, all the books are now available in the same size! Yes, instead of the unwieldy 6"x9", all the single books are now the same size as a normal novel (4.25"x6.87"). The trilogies will remain larger, at A5 size (5.8"x8.5"), to cut down on spine thickness.

Currently e-books are not available, but they will start to be made available again on Friday.

I have started something resembling a photography project. On the last day of every month this year, at the same time of the day, I am going to take a picture of the view out of my living room window.
The first one can be found here
