I think I have decided that, if nothing else, I should probably try to write short stories or drabbles set in the HS&S:WT universe, between now and November. They will be Canon, and therefore part of The Published Works, but they won't feature the main characters from the books (thus making them Usable Content for Derivative Materials). At some point they may get all scooped up and plonked into an anthology, but I reckon that's probably going to take at least five years. For now, they will just be little bonus stories only available on LJ.

Oddly, I've been considering doing something very similar, only these would be available on the website. The one problem I have is that I'm worried I'll end up spending more time on the short stories than the main books! :-)
