When I got in this morning, there were balloons tied to my chair, which was somewhat surreal. Anyway, about half an hour later, they all started gathering round me, and I got presented with a very nice card and a Debenhams gift card, and four bottles of beer. Work progressed normally for the day, then after work, went for drinks at a nearby pub. Almost all of them turned up, and I got bought two pints, which meant I had to consume three pints in a little under two hours. My usual nightly limit is 2½ pints. I'm still pissed, over an hour after the session ended.

Anyway - tomorrow, I must be up early to go to LKX to get the train home for the last night of the last play of SLT's season. And I'll be back on Sunday evening.

Next week, I shall be trawling temp agencies and so on in Uxbridge and Northolt, and following up on a lead a colleaugue was kind enough to pass me.
