I've just got back from the NaNoWriMo Veterans Meet III at the Lyceum, Charing Cross. Very nice evening, reasonably pleasant pub, good company, much silliness in the chatting, and with the smiley-face stickers, and with the story we jointly scribbled in the last hour.

I think I must have a switch somewhere, that's triggered by alcohol and the presence of attractive women. When activiated, I become a complete dork, and if I do manage to get out something that doesn't sound totally crap or stilted or just plain stupid, I am incapable of following up on it.

I've always had the feeling I turn into Lady Boring of Dullsville when there's a good-looking man around. It's probably not true, though, and from what I can see it's not true of you either.
