... when all the shops really crank up the amount of Christmas tat they have on the shelves. Yes, I know that most of them have had XMas tat in store for two or three weeks already, but before now they've had to leave space for fireworks and halloween stuff. Halloween's gone, and come this weekend, Guy Fawkes Night will have also gone, and then you won't be able to move without tripping over the latest singing purple plastic christmas tree or festive bog brush. They can clear all that useless stuff off the shelves that everybody only buys every day for the rest of the year, and stock up on mince pies made with fish, Asian Monopoly, and fluorescent tinsel.

God, this LJ is turning into a right grump-fest, isn't it?

On the brighter side, I'm up to nearly 7000 words on the NaNo, which means I'm a day ahead of the minimum word count (woo!)
