Birthday

Thank you to all who came (Tyrone, rpdom, and multiclassgeek, and all who said they'd like to come but couldn't (including ericjarvis, khitomer, ciciaye, Len Oil, and, why not?, esmeraldus_neo).

Wasn't a bad afternoon. No photos, unfortunately, but I now have a few more people's LJ's to look out for. Oh, and I have also completely lost my voice.

Aaargh! I don't bloody believe this!

I haven't had my new laptop working for a week yet, and it's decided to die on me! I was watching a DVD, selected a deleted scene to watch, it hung, and I got a BSOD! And now all it does is restart, crash, restart, crash, etc! Safe Mode and Last Known Good have no effect, the pre-start menu doesn't have options to disable anything (at least, none that I can find), and so it loads up WinXP, a flash of BSOD, and restart again!

I bought it in Yorkshire, it's going to cost me a bloody fortune to get it fixed/replaced under warranty. I'm just lucky I haven't had a chance to get anything important done on the new one.
