As I'm not the householder, my mum doesn't want me to complete the census on my own. Apparently, she's the responsible one. So, if she treats me like I'm irresponsible, I'll behave like I'm irresponsible, and let's hope she gets the message.

I am the householder, houseowner and pretty much everything else. I will be filling in the census (apart from the bits Gemma will complete about herself).

Despite that, I make no pretence about being responsible in any way ;-)

And will Gemma be filling in her bits with or without your supervision and/or intervention?

If I fill it in, I'll have my mum looking over my shoulder, unless she starts treating me like an adult instead of a retarded child.

Unless she asks for my advice, I will let her fill in her bits on her own. I won't even look at what she puts, unless she asks me too.

I believe you can ask for a separate form to fill in for your own details, if you wish.

Your mum shouldn't be looking over your shoulder. You *are* an adult and can make your own decisions.

I agree with this.

I live with my parents too. My Dad filled in the front bit of the census, then left me and my Mum to fill in our bits ('Person 2' and 'Person 3'). Your Mum shouldn't be 'supervising' you like this.

She didn't, eventually. She let me fill it in on my own after an almost complete change of tack from the morning. She probably forgot that she'd taken her original view.
