Hmm, I notice in my news feed from the BBC that there appear to be rather a lot of statements from political parties about what they're going to promise at the next election. The next election won't be for at least 16 months, probably 28, so why are they giving us this stuff now? Is it a case of "get a platform established early", or do they think that the British public aren't going to put up with their shit for another year-and-a-third and are contingency planning for the late spring?
