May. 1st, 2008 10:46 pmI've been back home four days, after that sprint up the M1 on Sunday (at one point we did six miles in three and a half minutes!), unpacking and sorting and re-arranging and so on. It still doesn't seem - sort of, real, I suppose, yet. I mean, I've stayed up here longer over Christmas before. Give it another week, and it'll seem permanent, won't it?
Went to a reading at SLT on Tuesday evening. All the regulars were pleasantly surprised to see me, which was good. The play is "Busybody" by Jack Popplewell, I have yet to find out if I've got a part - should know tomorrow.
Have signed up with my old agency again, but they're just parroting the same as I got in London: "Not much available at the moment". So I'm going to get the local papers tomorrow, see if there's anything in them. Plus there's the Armouries, I can pop over one day perhaps, see if they've any vacancies.
I'm loving getting re-acquainted with my full library - I've already gone through two Flashman books, and am now on Family Bites. That reminds me, must take the remaining leaflets round local places that might display them.
Bloody Virgin Media faffing around with the re-wossnaming of my broadband connection. I'm going to be stuck on dial-up for at least another ten days, best I can make out.
