What a day
Sep. 28th, 2007 10:45 pmMaking Money finally arrived, so I spent most of the day reading that, when I should have been doing other things - like prepping for the OU courses that I start on Monday, completing some job applications, that sort of thing. Listened to Jo Whiley re-united with Steve Lamacq at lunchtime while reading - not the easiest thing to do when they're playing such fantastic tunes as Girls & Boys, Basket Case [1] and other Evening Session greats and nostalgia (Caught by the Fuzz, "Where are you right now?").
Anyway - went shopping, and had an idea for BeerMonster that'll eat up a few weeks. Problem is, it'll require lots of new artwork, and I don't know if I'll have time for that while I'm doing four OU computer courses. I'd also either have to rent a movie, or find a scene-by-scene description on IMDb.
I've just composed a letter I'd much rather have not to have had written, which will get posted next week. Unavoidable, really, but it still left me a bit unsettled.
I've just been wading through The Medieval City Under Siege in preparation for NaNoWriMo in November, as I have been for most of the week. Nearly finished, and I think I've covered everything I need to cover for that part of the prep - just got to create the two main baddies, 'cos I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to kill them personally at some point. This year's NaNo will be a sequel to (and using the same system as) last year's - and last year's should be coming out in dead tree format from lulu.com by the end of the year, with this year's probably early next year.
So - I can do the prep for OU and the job stuff tomorrow. BM, which will be continuing with the current storyline, will get done Sunday, and what with the OU courses, I might probably rework the entire website over Christmas again - although it may not actually look much different, but hey.
